The distinctive ‘orange peel’ texture of cellulite is determined by the consistent presence of large fibrous shoots of collagen that constrict the natural lobulation of adipose tissue.
BTL X-Wave combats this by using specially modified acoustic wave pulses to induce mechanical vibrations in the targeted fibrous connective tissue, causing it to relax and stretch out. These vibrations also enhance microcirculation in the adipose tissue, leading to increased blood supply and accelerated blood flow, which stimulates the breakdown of fats and facilitates the removal of waste products.
