I have tired skin that needs to be refreshed and lifted from staying up late into the night and being out in the sun for quite a fair bit whenever I have production shoots. For someone who never really does facials (the last time I did one was 3 years ago, a day before my wedding), my trip to EPION was a real treat for me. My skin has been more sensitive than usual, with redness and mild itching especially around the nose and mouth area.

The Seriously Soothing treatment really lives up to its name. It was extremely soothing because of the coolness of the lotion, combined with the pleasant and calming scent of the products. I have combination skin that is sensitive, dry, and occasionally blotchy. Apart from that, the area around my eyes also gets a little puffy and tired from too much screen time.

I opted for the Multi-Nutrient Glow medifacial because I wanted my skin to be hydrated and brighter. Despite feeling quite tired beforehand, I was grateful how much the treatment perked me up. The EPION therapist struck a nice balance between being informative (about each step of the process) and personable, allowing me to relax during the treatment. My facial started with an ultrasonic deep cleanse to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. Next, three serums (brightening botanical extracts, retinol, and vitamin C) were infused with a warm ultrasonic permeation — that also aids in thermal lifting and tightening — to nourish the layers within. Lastly, a warm mask was applied to lock in all the nutrients!

The machines and serums were comfortable and soothing. On top of that, the hand and face massages at the end were very enjoyable. My skin is now thoroughly moisturised, plump, and brighter than before. The area around my eyes look more toned and less puffy too.

I have extremely sensitive and problematic skin due to very poor skin maintenance in my younger days. In fact, I did not have a skincare routine until I was almost 30! As a young music student in Vienna and St. Petersburg, I only washed my face with hand soap and did not moisturise. (Imagine how cracked and parched my skin was from all those harsh winters.) Consequently, my dry skin would over-secrete oil leading to frequent breakouts (until now) and persistent redness. Though my skin has improved today, problems still linger — I’ve inherited an oily T-zone and slightly dry skin on the cheeks with blackheads and oversized pores. 
To remedy my oily, acne-prone skin, the skilled and professional staff at EPION recommended the Black Diamond Facial, a clarifying medifacial to combat skin roughness and excess sebum.

First, the therapist deeply cleansed my skin with what I can only describe as a veritable, feel-good potion of wondrous aromas — removing all dirt, grime, and bacteria. Next, a wishlist of serums containing glucosamine, glycolic acid, and salicylic acid was used to soothe my skin. She proceeded to exfoliate my skin with a gentle but thoroughly effective Diamond Peel that removed dead skin cells and those nasty black- and whiteheads. This important step probably cleared the way for the serums to be better absorbed. Lastly, a charcoal mask helped to keep skin clear, smooth, and healthy. A final layer of hyaluronic acid serum was applied to further improve skin texture. Hurrah! 90 minutes of pure, refreshing goodness and no pain!

In the past, I have never enjoyed going for facials. But this time, I loved every minute of EPION’s Black Diamond Facial and only wished it would last longer! My skin was miraculously clean, smooth, glowy, and looked as young and radiant as a baby’s bottom. I immediately signed up to return for more and I can’t wait for the next session!

It started as small bumps underneath my skin around my cheeks. Then those bumps became pimples, acne, and cysts near my jaw, till pretty much my whole face was covered in spots.
